i. you never or rarely update, or your updates aren't all that personal (if i want to read news, or political rants, or movie/t.v./book reviews, i go to public blogs/news feeds/imdb for that). this is a highly personal reflective space for me. it's ok that it isn't for you but for me to feel right about sharing all this stuff, it's gotta be mutual.

ii. you never or rarely comment. hey, i'm not saying i'm some kind of commenting paragon that you all need to aspire to be like. but if it's been a couple of months and all i've gotten from you is a "*hugs*", sorry, pal. no cigar.

iii. i am going through one of my many "ohemgee too many people know about my sex life/parent issues/marital problems and they are JUDGING ME" phases and i need to do what i need to do to feel safe enough to write.

iv. we just plain haven't connected.
